I was 8 weeks pregnant when I started spotting. My midwife arranged for me to have an early scan. No heartbeat was detected but I was told it could be too early for one to be found on a scan.
I ended up needing four internal scans over four weeks, before it was confirmed that I had had a miscarriage.
I was told it was a missed miscarriage.
On the day I was due to have my 12 week scan I had "Evacuation of Retained Products of Conception".
I was devastated - no one at the hospital could tell me what had happened.
In April 2015 I found out I was pregnant again. After a very anxious pregnancy and a particularly difficult labour I am now a very proud mum to a beautiful boy, but not a day goes by that I don't think about my lost baby.
