On Friday the 16th of March, Tommy's will be recognising some inspirational individuals and dedicated companies at our annual Tommy's Awards.
Our annual awards are a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate with some of the incredible companies and individuals who have helped Tommy’s achieve all that we have across the years.
The Individual Awards
The Tommy's Awards celebrate special individuals who have been through challenging of times, shown great courage and strength, and given amazing support.
These Awards have been made possible through the generosity of our sponsors, all of whom share our pride in these amazing and worthy heroes.
The Community Awards
Costa Star Fundraiser Award
This award recognises an extraordinary individual who has gone above and beyond to fundraise in their local community on behalf of Tommy’s.
2017 Winner: Susan Jackson
Susan Jackson was told she was pregnant with identical twins Ella and Evie in 2010. Tragically, Evie was stillborn and she was left to take Ella home, without her precious twin.
Susan decided to channel her loss and start fundraising. She is tireless in her commitment to raise awareness for Tommy’s and challenge the stigma around baby loss. Since 2010, her focus and passion has raised more than £52,000 for Tommy’s.
Community Diamond Award
This award is given to recognise a partner that has gone the extra mile in every way to help us raise money to save more babies’ lives.
2017 Winner: Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense for the Tommy’s Sensathon event
Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense only started supporting Tommy’s a few years ago in 2014, but they have already helped raise an incredible amount of money. We asked them to see if they could raise £375,000 for Tommy’s in 2016. Not only did they hit that target, they actually exceeded it by over £65,000!
The Company Awards
The Awards also recognise companies that make the lives of parents and parents-to-be across the UK that little bit easier. Earlier this year, Tommy's and Bounty asked Bounty's trusted Mums Panel to help us shortlist your favourite family-friendly brands. We then put the vote out to parents across the UK.
