Hosting your Tea for Tommy's

Our supporters get together with their family, friends or colleagues and host a Tea for Tommy's to raise money for Tommy's. You can hold an event at home, work or at a venue in your community.  

This year, we are asking you to hold your Tea for Tommy's during the month of June. So why not take advantage of the sunshine and hold your event outside?

Your support will help us save babies' lives and make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone.

For every cup you brew, that's another call to our midwives helpline for any families who need support and information. 

Make sure you sign up for your fundraising pack, which has everything you need to start planning your event. We’ve also created extra downloadable materials that will help make your tea fun and easy to organise.

We’re the leading charity stopping the devastation of baby loss and making pregnancy and birth safe – for everyone.

We work across the whole pregnancy journey, turning our research breakthroughs into new tests and treatments, campaigning for changes to national maternity care and providing expert information and support for everyone.

One of the ways we're doing this is through the Tommy's Midwives' Helpline, a free phone and email service open 9-5, Monday to Friday, staffed by our specialist team of midwives. They're here for anyone who needs advice and reassurance on any pregnancy or planning for pregnancy issue, as well as supporting people who have faced loss during pregnancy or birth.

Our pregnancy information and services remain free thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. The money you raise at your Tea for Tommy’s will help us be there for those who need us most.

When will I get my pack?

Packs will be posted out weekly from 22 April. From 13 May, we'll begin posting packs out twice a week up until the end of June.  These will be coming by second class post so please allow time for them to arrive.

I need more materials! How can I get these?  

If you've already signed up and would like more of any of the materials in your event pack, such as posters, you can download them on this page and print as many as you need. You will also find extra materials such as our quiz and colouring in poster.

How do I create a JustGiving page to collect online donations?

Head here and just click the orange Start fundraising button!

How do I promote my event?

Alongside the physical poster in your pack, you can also download an A3 version here and a social media graphic to use here.

How do I pay in my donations?

There are a few different ways you can pay in your donations:

• Pay in the donations from your collection box online here. Choose other events & challenges from the drop down. Remember to pop your Gift Aid form in the post too.
• Send us a cheque payable to Tommy's with your name, address, contact number and email along with Tea for Tommy’s as a reference, or with your paper gift aid form, and send to: Finance team, Tommy's, Nicholas House, 3 Laurence Pountney Hill, London EC4R 0BB

If you have set up a JustGiving page to collect your donations, you don’t need to do anything else as the money raised will come direct to us.

How do I receive a certificate and mug?

When we receive your donations, we’ll send you a personalised Tea for Tommy’s certificate to thank you for your support. If you raise £150 and over, we will also send you a Tea for Tommy’s mug! 

The fundraising deadline to submit your donations and to receive these items is Sunday 14 July 2024. We'll post them out after this date so will be unable to include any donations received after this date.

I can’t hold my event in June, can I still take part?

Don’t worry, you can hold your event on any day that suits over the summer. We will be keeping sign ups open until 31 August 2024.  

You'll still receive a certificate after your event and, while stocks last, a Tea for Tommy's mug for those raising over £150.
