Payroll giving

Donate through your salary and more goes to Tommy's!

Donating direct from your salary is a simple effective way to support Tommy's. Payroll Giving is vital to Tommy's because it gives us a reliable source of income enabling us to plan new research dedicated to saving babies' lives.

What are the benefits?

"I use Payroll Giving as a painless way to give, to ensure that I never forget, and for Tommy's to receive the tax I would have to give to the Inland Revenue!"

Andrena Da Silva, Head of Control - Payment Services, Deutsche Bank

Payroll Giving is a tax-effective way for employees and pensioners to give to Tommy's. For every £1 that you donate, 22p (at 22% tax rate), which would normally go to the tax man, will go to Tommy's.

How does it work?

Providing that your employer offers Payroll Giving it could not be simpler. All you need to do is print out our Payroll Giving form, fill it in and pass it on to your payroll or finance department and send a copy to us. This will authorise your employer to deduct donations from your pay. Your employer pays these donations to a Payroll Giving agency approved by the Inland Revenue. The agency then distributes the money to Tommy's. Once your donation is set up, you don't have to do any more.

In return we will send you our supporter magazine twice a year which will keep you updated on how your donations are being spent.

If your employer doesn't offer Payroll Giving suggest they start one - it's easy and inexpensive to run.
