We're delighted that the Glamorgan County Cricket Club are recognising the dedication and achievements of one of our wonderful fundraisers, Heidi Rayward.
The club is presenting a signed shirt to Heidi for auction. They want to support Tommy's and help Heidi continue to raise vital funds for Tommy's pioneering research into premature birth and baby loss.
'The Club is honoured to support Tommy’s in this way. It is subject that is often not fully discussed and to be able to support a charity that is looking to reduce the emotional pain of losing a child in pregnancy is fantastic.' Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
England and Glamorgan cricketer Steve Watkin took time out of his coaching duties to present the signed Glamorgan County Cricket Club shirt to Heidi.
Dave Lutton, head of TVS Education who look after the delivery of the cricket 16 – 19 cricket and education programme at the SWALEC, says;
'I am so grateful to Glamorgan County Cricket Club in being able to support this charity. Heidi is a close friend who has benefited from the support the charity offers, and to see the passion in which she now raises funds for the charity is humbling.'
Our centres do lifesaving research and lead the way in providing care and support for bereaved parents, none of which would be able without the incredible support of inspiring fundraisers like Heidi.
Tommy’s Director of Fundraising, Danae Leaman-Hill, says;
'We are so grateful to Glamorgan County Cricket Club for such a generous gift this Christmas. The amazing efforts of fundraising heroes like Heidi saves babies lives - funding our four research centres in the UK and providing vital advice and support for parents-to-be. The work we do helps families all across the UK and we couldn’t do it without you, thank you!'
