Will the pill affect my ability to get pregnant?

A lot of people worry about getting pregnant after the pill but it should have little or no effect on the ease or speed of conception.

A packet of combined contraceptive pills.

Many doctors advise that you should delay trying to conceive until you have had one normal period, not just the withdrawal bleed. This is so that a pregnancy can be dated more accurately.

You can use other forms of contraception such as condoms until after your first normal period, but if you become pregnant sooner it will not harm your baby.
