About the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon
Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the 13.1 mile route takes runners through four of London’s most beautiful parks; Hyde Park, St James's Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park. As you run you will be inspired by great views of iconic London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch, the London Eye, the Royal Albert Hall and the Palace of Westminster.
Around 16,500 runners including some celebrity names will participate in this exciting event, and around 40,000 supporters and spectators are expected. With our 'Golden Oak' charity involvement, Tommy’s will have a marquee to provide a convenient meeting point for you, your family and friends right next to the Food and Fitness Festival. There will also be plenty of activities for the kids, including a Peppa Pig 'meet and greet', an obstacle course challenge, Theatre Tots roving puppets and Dantastic - The children's entertainer! Our team and supporters will be there to cheer you on along the route.

Fundraising hints and tips
Your friends and family will probably sponsor you once you've set up your fundraising page, but to raise the maximum amount of money for our life-saving work, you could also think about organising a pub quiz, having a raffle or asking a local school to run a non-uniform day. The next step is to create your online page...
Social media can help you build a real buzz around your event. These channels work best when you make them personal. Be yourself and talk to your friends and followers as you would in person.
