Tommy's story, 11/01/2017, by anonymous

On the 21st of October 2015 - 29wks pregnant. I had been feeling unwell and hadn't really taken notice of baby's movements. It was only later that night, just before bed that it hit me that's I might not have felt baby move. I said to myself she probably has but been ill my mind was on it so it'll wait until the morning to confirm.

Morning came and still nothing? Without saying anything to my boyfriend I took my son to school before making my way to the hospital.

I was put on the fetal heart monitor, a few minutes later the midwife came and checked the trace.

She said hmm that's your heartbeat let me try again, she then used the thing that put on your tummy to listen through, you could see she was struggling.

She called another midwife who also tried to find baby's heart beat. She also failed then I was taken to get a ultrasound and that it was said to me what I had already realised.

I'm sorry but there's no heartbeat. I just froze then the tears started.

I called baby's dad and had to tell him I had lose the baby and I needed him to come down to the hospital as soon as. I could just hear crying no words.

On Saturday 24th I gave birth to a princess who had already gained her angel wings. I was determined to prove to my body that I could and would give birth again, on Christmas day 2015 I found out I was pregnant again and now I have a beautiful baby girl.

During my latest pregnancy I joined a forum and was absolutely horrified to see the amount of people posting about reduced or no movements and people telling them it was normal!
