Story of #miscourage by Amy
With our son being 3 years old we decided it was time to expand our home and give our son a very much wanted sibling.
After a year of trying and tests we got a very exciting phone call, 4 days before Christmas, perfect timing, we were pregnant. The joy felt was indescribable.
Fast forward to 25 weeks, I didn't feel right and felt our little girl wasn't as active as she'd been in the weeks before. I spoke to my Dr who assured me my baby was discovering a sleep pattern.
2 days later I was still feeling very uneasy so my Dr agreed to do an ultrasound. My baby's heart rate was a little below average but I was told she was fine and everything was normal. The next day was Mothers Day and I never felt my baby girl at all, so we went to the Emergency room.
It was this day, Mother's Day 2017 I was told my precious little princess has no heart beat. The pain I felt in my heart was terrifying, my 4 year old son holding my hand telling me everything will be ok. Explaining to him that his baby sister wasn't going to come home was heartbreaking.
48 hours later at exactly 26 weeks our beautiful little princess was born, we asked our son to name her as she was so special, he gave her the most perfect name "Rosie May"
Rosie May will always hold a huge place in our hearts and she will never be forgotten. Her perfect little face, fingers and toes. The heartbreak will stay but we will heal and thanks to our son, he gives us the strength to keep going day after day.
