I was thrilled to discover I was pregnant with our long awaited second child, everything was perfect.
My friend had a scare where they thought she'd had a miscarriage so I decided to have a reassurance scan at 10 weeks as I'd had the tiniest amount of spotting, the same as my first pregnancy.
I honestly never expected them to say that my baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks.
I turned to my online mummy friends and their stories came flooding out, 30 women who I'd known a year or more, sharing their losses and offering incredible support.
I'd no idea until that day that most of them had lost babies. Why would I? It's not something we are encouraged to discuss.
They pulled me through my darkest days and nights and celebrated with me when I got my positive test a month after my miscarriage surgery.
