The wait is finally over! We are delighted to say that entry is now open for the London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge!
What is the London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge?
The London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge is the first event of its kind in the world! Created by the Landmarks team at Tommy’s, it will take place in central London at two of the capital’s most iconic skyscrapers - The Cheesegrater and The Gherkin.
The exhilarating event combines a tower run up 42 floors of The Cheesegrater before either:
- a jaw dropping 200 metres abseil down The Cheesegrater OR
- a zipwire from the roof of The Cheesegrater across London's skyline into The Gherkin.
It’s your choice how to get down. Abseil or zipwire?
The once-in-a-lifetime event will take place over two days on 9th &10th September 2023.

Applying to join Team Tommy’s with a Tommy’s charity place
Tommy’s own and organise the Skyscraper Challenge and are the Official Charity Partner.
There are two ways to take part in the Skyscraper Challenge:
- Take on the Tower Run and Abseil Challenge; or
- Take on the Tower Run and Zipwire Challenge.
Tommy’s has places in both the Tower Run and Abseil and the Tower Run and Zipwire challenge.
Places in the event are very limited, with only 100 Tower Run and Zipwire places and just 500 Tommy’s Tower Run and Abseil places. There has been a phenomenal response to the event and all the Tower Run & Zipwire places are now full. But you can still take part in this once-in-a-lifetime event by applying for a Tower Run & Abseil place.

Tower Run and Abseil Challenge
To join the very first team to take on the adrenaline fuelled Tower Run and Abseil Challenge you will be asked to pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 (excluding gift aid).
Tower Run and Zipwire Challenge
There has been a phenomenal response to the event and all the Tower Run & Zipwire places are now full. But you can still take part in this once-in-a-lifetime event by applying for a Tower Run & Abseil place.
How we will support you at The Skyscraper Challenge
The Skyscraper Challenge is the first event of its kind in the world and we want you to have a world class experience with us! We will provide:
