I fell pregnant in 2010 for the first time but suffered a miscarriage at 11 weeks. It was a shocking, frightening and very sad experience. I bled lightly and went for a scan to be told either my dates were wrong or I had a missed miscarriage and to come back in two weeks for another scan. However the next day I bled very heavily and was in such pain I went to A&E and miscarried but had to have the actual sac removed manually as it did not quite pass out on its own.
I am then happy to say I had my rainbow baby in 2012 who is now 4 years old.
We started trying for a second child when he was 2 and a half. I had a second missed miscarriage in 2015 starting at 11 weeks but this time with only light bleeding and failed medical management I had to have surgical management at 13 weeks. I then fell pregnant again but with bleeding early on I believed I was miscarrying at 6 weeks only to discover I had an ectopic pregnancy. Luckily medical management worked and my tube remained intact.
I then fell pregnant for the fifth time and despite bleeding for the first 13 weeks I have just had another healthy baby boy who is 5 weeks old. Most of my friends are unaware of the struggles we have had and I have silently dealt with each pregnancy including the last where I made no big announcements and had no celebrations until baby arrived! I was told that there was no reason for my failed pregnancies that could be determined. I really hope that with more research and finding answers and solutions can be found so that others do not have to suffer these problems.
