Alfie James

He will always be in my heart and I will never forget him and how proud I was to be his mother.

Story of #miscourage by Georgia Darsley-Ward

Alfie James Darsley-Ward is my first son.

I'm 19 years old but I was very excited about being pregnant.

I had my family behind me and I had my friends too. I got to 20 weeks when I found out I was having a baby boy. I decided to tell more of my friends about the good news, everyone was so happy for me.

3 weeks later when I was 23 weeks pregnant I hadn't felt Alfie move for a while so decided to go to hospital, there they told me I had had a missed miscarriage.

I was taken to the Primrose room at Stoke Mandeville, where I was given a tablet to start my labour off. 2 days later on Sunday the 9th of July I was out into an induced labour where I waited 11 hours for my beautiful baby to arrive at 7:45PM.

I stayed with him for two days from which he was taken away for a postmortem.

He will always be in my heart and I will never forget him and how proud I was to be his mother.
