Stillbirth information and support

A stillbirth is when a baby dies before or during labour after 24 completed weeks of pregnancy. We’re here to support anyone going through this very difficult time. Although a stillbirth is legally defined as losing a baby after 24 weeks of pregnancy, this information may also be helpful for people who have experienced a late miscarriage.

If you would like to talk to one of our Tommy's midwives about any aspect of stillbirth, they are experienced in talking about baby loss and bereavement. You can all them for free on 0800 0147 800 or email them at [email protected] (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

In partnership with Stillbirth Stories, this animation talks about coping with grief as part of our Baby Loss Series.
