London Landmarks Half Marathon raises £9.5m

The 2023 London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM), our annual fundraising event for Tommy’s and hundreds of other charities, has now raised almost £3m more than at this time in 2022.

A record 17,211 runners and wheelchair participants entered the 13.1 mile event through the City of London and Westminster this year, raising £9,493,688 for Tommy’s and over 450 other charities.

More than £3.4m of the total was raised for Tommy’s. This year we had 1,700 runners joining Team Tommy’s, helping support our work to save babies’ lives.

An incredible £37,802,839 has been raised since the first LLHM in 2018.

Famous faces among the runners this year included Dermot O’Leary running for Coppafeel, Mark Wright for JE3 Foundation, Cheryl Baker for Abigails, and Jenni Falconer.

Our LLHM Event Director Lia Fyles said:

“To be able to welcome those in wheelchairs to participate for the first year is progression for us, we want everyone no matter what their background or ability to be able to experience the magic of being involved in our special event.

“Every year we aim to entertain and give back to the runners as they run the course – they all have their own powerful personal reasons for taking part today so we try to ensure it’s a day to remember. Congratulations to everyone and thank you for helping Tommy’s, and our charity partners, raise so much money which will help many people in the future.”

Runner Clare Gordon said: “The atmosphere was amazing. Blows all the other London races I’ve done out of the park! Oh and I beat my target, got a PB.”

Participant James Bentley told us that his highlight was crossing the finishing line with his 5-year-old daughter: “I never would have had her if it wasn't for the amazing Tommy's!”

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is an award-winning central London event that has become a staple in the running events calendar. From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city's quirky and hidden secrets, participants get to explore the capital on a route like no other.

LLHM is owned and organised by Tommy’s to help raise money to save babies’ lives while also supporting many other good causes across the UK.

Next year’s LLHM will take place on Sunday 7 April 2024. Pre-registration is now open.
