Splashathon 2010 is here...join us in making a splash!

This summer hundreds of pools up and down the country will be holding super  summer Splashathons to raise money for Tommy's - and we'd like you to join them! 

Splashathon, sponsored by Splash About, is a free, fun event for little ones  - invite them to gain sponsorship for taking part in their lessons, completing a swimming challenge, or just having fun splashing for cash in the pool!

By taking part, you can raise the profile of your pool or swim school, whilst also having a great day that is fun for all, and so easy to organise. You'll also be raising money for a fantastic cause that deeply affects many.

If you'd like to hold a Splashathon at your pool or swim school, just call Rosie on 0207 398 3424 or email splashathon@tommys.org to register. We'll then arrange for your free promotional goodies to be sent out. We'll also give you lots of hints and tips on how best to run Splashathon, including securing coverage in your local newspaper. All you have to do is choose a date or dates in June on which you'd like to hold your Splashathon, then spread the word using the materials we'll send you.

 Every splasher who raises money for us will receive a certificate for their achievement, and those who raise over £50 will also receive a fun prize! We're also offering some fab prizes for our highest fundraising pools and schools this year, from vouchers for nights out to a long weekend away at the beautiful Equilibria.fr in Southwest France, courtesy of Splash About. The little splasher who raises the most will also win £200 worth of adorable swimwear, also courtesy of Splash About.

Here are some great ideas to make your event a splashing success

• Have a themed Splash, such as mermaids, pirates or under the sea
• Splash to music
• Have a pool party using pool toys and inflatables
• Provide nautical -themed refreshments
• Set your splashers challenges such as swim through a hoop, underwater or a whole width or length

The money raised through Splashathon will go towards our life saving research into premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage to give every baby the best chance of being born healthy.

Terms and Conditions of the prizes: Three night break consists of a trip to Equilibria.fr, courtesy of Splash About, and includes transfer to and from Angouleme airport or railway station, room, all food and drink, a nutrional consultancy session, life coaching, a deep release and healing therapy and use of the facilities including massage chair and swimming pool. Travel to the resort will be organised by Tommy's and will be by train or plane, subject to availability and price, from London to Southwest France. The swim school who wins the prize will be the swim school franchise whose Splashathon participants have sent the most money to Tommy's by 1st September 2010. Tommy's cannot be held responsible for any delay in this money reaching us.
