Splashathon 2012
About Splashathon
Tommy’s Splashathon is an annual event in which babies, toddlers and young children take part in what is often their first ever sponsored event. This challenge sees them doing a splashing challenge in aid of Tommy’s and is great fun for parents and their little ones.
The money raised helps support Tommy’s medical research and information programmes, which aim to prevent premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage. Click here to watch Ross’ story (his son Freddie was born at 28 weeks) and shows first-hand how your support can make a difference.

About Tommy's
Sadly one in four women in the UK lose a baby during pregnancy or birth. Tommy’s helps women like Lucy Fitzpatrick who after 14 years of trying to have a baby and being affected by multiple pregnancy complications successfully gave birth to her son Louis in 2003 with the help of medical research that Tommy’s made possible. She said, ‘My story gives people huge hope. The reason I’m supporting Tommy’s is we wouldn’t be here without them. Having Louis naturally after such a struggle was both unreal and exceptional. I had amazing care but other women aren’t so fortunate.’
