Tommy's, the baby charity – research remit

We fund research that focuses on the following areas:

  • The causes and prevention/treatment of miscarriage, preterm delivery and stillbirth
  • Placental dysfunction and other causes of growth retardation
  • Fetal distress in labour

Priority will be given to projects which clearly demonstrate the development of:

  • A hypothesis for testing in a clinical trial
  • A treatment
  • A preventative measure
  • An understanding of a disease process or part of a disease

Tommy's wants to fund scientific research projects which have a clear clinical implication and a significant potential impact on our cause.

DUE TO A HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS, WE ARE UNFORTUNATELY UNABLE TO CONSIDER ANY PROJECTS THAT FALL OUTSIDE OF THESE OUTLINED REQUIREMENTS.
