Director: Professor Jane Norman - Professor of Maternal and Fetal Health, University of Edinburgh

Jane Norman, who was previously Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, has led the Edinburgh research centre since it was set up. Her research has centred around preterm labour and the use of progesterone as a possible treatment. In 2009 she was awarded the prestigious President’s Achievement Award of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and in 2012 she was admitted to the UK Academy of Medical Sciences.
